Catching up.......

Right now I feel like Catching up is my middle name! I need to catch up on work, cleaning house, party planning, mail, embroidery orders, picture editing, blogging.......the list could go on and on. I just realized I haven't updated the blog since September 11th, when Parker got her hair cut. I am going to attempt to catch up the blog tonight, I have so many great pictures and stories. Lets see how far I get.......

We got our family pictures taken by a photographer at the beginning of September.  It was the first time we have had family pictures taken in a LONG TIME.  The photographer came to our house and took pictures of us for over two hours. The kids (and Kyle) were great sports.  I was very happy with the way they turned out.

Kegan is doing very well in kindergarten.  We are so proud of him!  He is learning so much. I continue to be impressed everyday  by how much he is learning and how quickly he is learning it. ( I am a teacher with a primary background.....it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to academics)
The other day he said, "mom is the Easter Bunny a boy or a girl?" I said, " I am not sure, Kegan."  He replied, "you are a teacher, you should know!"

Kegan's class had been learning about Johnny Appleseed.  The teacher asked them to dress up as Johnny Appleseed at the end of the week.  He was the BEST DRESSED Johnny Appleseed!

Kegan played TBall on team River Dogs. He has had a great time this season!

Parker is as sweet & sassy, as always. I love every second of it!!

She was invited to a birthday party and the theme was  Fancy Nancy Tea Party! It was so cute!

She is also learning a lot at school but she is learning just as much from her brother!
She is playing soccer on team Tigers.  The first couple of games didn't go to so well. She was terrified of the indoor soccer facility. Now you would never know it, she gets out there and runs with all her teammates.

Kyle threw me an surprise party for my 30th birthday! He did a great job and I was truly surprised! Surprisingly, I don't have any pictures from the fun night except for this one. I love this picture! Parker is just like me....she just LOVES babies. She is always asking strangers if she can hold their baby. (they typically don't let her hold them..imagine that, a three year old holding their baby??) Parker was so excited that Marci let her hold baby Zoee by herself!  (Zoee looks TERRIFIED)

My brother and his wife had their first child, Burke,  October 20!  Kegan and Parker are so excited to finally have a REAL first cousin!  We can't wait to meet Baby Burke! Check out my brother's blog for more pics and stories ! I had no idea my brother was such an amazing writer! http://burkesterburkingtonburkenstock.blogspot.com/

Pumpkin Patch and Halloween pics will be posted tomorrow!

New Do!

Parker's hair was getting so long and a little stringy, so I felt it was time for a change! We went and got her hair cut today and it looks super cute and sassy!

Our Lil' T-Ball Star

Kegan is playing T-Ball this fall. He is playing with some boys that he played Blastball with a couple of seasons ago. They have three chances to hit the ball from the coach's pitch and then if they don't hit it, they can use a Tee to hit it off of. He is number 12 (the biggest number, because he is the tallest kid, he loves that!) He had his first game on Saturday evening. He did a great job and had lots of fun! I can't believe what a big boy he is!

Running to home plate (tongue first!)

Good Game Boys!

quite an achievement

Kegan has FINALLY learned to spell his last name, on his own! We have been working really hard with him.  In this video he is spelling it, without looking at anything or without any help from us. We are so proud of him!

Happy Friday!!

Today was Parker's first day of Preschool (in the 3 year old class)!  She was super ready to get started! Kegan started school almost 2 weeks ago, so she ready to go school to play and learn!  Her teacher is Ms. Carm, the same teacher that Kegan had when he was in the 3 year old class. She was so ready to go, she didn't even give me a hug or kiss, she just put her things away in her cubby and sat down and started playing play dough with her good friend Kaitlyn. Here are a few pics of her first day.
In front of the fireplace with her gear!

Backpack and lunchbox monogrammed, of course!

Then the POSING began!

More POSING!

All that posing and smiling...Then when I asked a stranger to take a picture of us... she refused to smile or look at the camera
