World Record

I think we may hold the world record for the tallest kid in a 5 point harness car seat!

Kegan recently turned 5 and I took him to the doctor for his well check-up.  He weighed 50.8 pounds and was 48.25 inches tall.  I told the doctor that I still had him in the 5 point harness car seat, even though she had recommended, over a year ago,for him to move to a booster seat.  When she stopped laughing, she strongly recommended that I move him to a booster seat, since he is SO BIG! She said that the 5 point harness was probably way too tight on him. 

We left the doctor's office and got him a new booster seat! My baby boy is getting TOO BIG!

Now every single time we get in the car, Parker says, "Mommy I getting big, when I getting a booster?"  And every single time I reply, " When you are FIVE!"

WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE WE?

This week has been InSaNe!  We started the week like normal and went to work/school on Monday.  There was talk of ice/snow coming (which was extremely hard to imagine due to the fact that it was 80 degrees Sunday afternoon!)  On Monday night I went to bed super early (8:30) since I wasn't feeling well.  I woke up at 4:45 Tuesday morning and heard ice pelting the windows.  I got on my school districts website to find TUESDAY FEBRUARY 1, 2011 SCHOOL CLOSED.  Then a few minutes later received 2 different automated calls from my school and district to say school was closed for the day.  I went back to sleep and slept until 9! (what a way to start feeling better!) Also, a big thanks to my sweet husband for letting me sleep and taking care of the kiddos! Well that scenario played out the same for Wednesday, Thursday & Friday except for that we got the calls the evening before so we knew that we weren't having school the next day.  We have been stuck inside for 4 days.  While the snow is pretty and I have enjoyed the relaxation time, I HATE THE COLD! Sundresses and Flip Flops for me!  I can't wait until it is 108 degrees outside!
