So Thankful!

I am so thankful for so many things....
My Husband
My Kids
My Family
My Friends
My Pets
My Job
My Health
My Home

Last night, while in Illinois, we went out to dinner with Kyle's dad's side of the family.  We were finishing up our dinner and all of the sudden a man collapsed of a heart attack in the middle of the restaurant.  Kyle's cousin is an EMT and started CPR right away.  The paramedics came immediately and worked on him for what seemed like forever.  We later found out the the man did not make it...and he was only 53 years old.   Thinking about this man and his family makes me even more thankful for my family and our health.  I will continue to pray for this man's family as Thanksgiving will now always be a hard time for them.

Here are some more pictures from our trip to Illinois. I am also thankful for my CAMERA!

Illinois-Day One

We made it! We survived the 12 hour car ride to Aunt SueSue and Uncle Ronnie's house! We left our house at about 7:40am and got there at about 8:10pm.  We stopped 5 times.  1 time for lunch and 4 times for a potty break.  Kegan and Parker watched 5 movies.  I read a book.  Kegan and Parker fell asleep 20 minutes before we reached our destination.  It was a very easy trip (I can say that because I didn't drive.)  NO traffic, No bad weather, Only Minimal crying. Not too bad! I am sure there will be lots of crying on the way home because they are not going to want to leave.

Kegan and Parker had a blast today.  Here some pics I took. (I also had time to edit them! I am so excited because I never have time for that at home!)

Week Off :)

I haven't blogged in about 2 weeks so I thought I would update.  We are leaving early tomorrow morning to drive to Illinois. Yes you read that right..DRIVE 12 HOURS with 2 CrAzY kids!  Kyle has family that lives in Illinois and we try to go visit hem every other year at Thanksgiving.  Aunt Susan and Uncle Ronnie live on a farm and Kegan thinks it is Heaven on Earth.  Frequently, when he is upset with Kyle or myself he cries saying, "I want to go live with Aunt Sue Sue!"

I also have a funny story to share about Kegan and Parker...

About a week ago I took out Kegan and Parker's baby books. They have so much fun looking through them but they especially like seeing pictures of me pregnant. They say, "look that is when I was in Mommy's tummy."  A couple of days ago Parker walked up to me and lifted my shirt.  She looked at me and said, " Please, I be in your tummy again?"  Kegan replied, "it will be REALLY dark in there!"  A little while later they were taking a bath together and they were poking each other's stomach saying, "you have a baby in your tummy," "No, you have a baby in your tummy."  Finally, I said," you have to be a girl and you have to be a grown-up to have a bay in your tummy." Kegan of course asks, "how does the baby get in your tummy?"  I said, "God puts it there." Kegan replies, "Yeah, God, he is magic...He walks on water."

Kegan has also told us that he is NOT going to Kindergarten next year.  He wants to continue the school program he is in this year.  He goes to school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and gets a Pajama Day Tuesday and Thursday.  He DOES NOT want to go to school every day.  Wouldn't that be nice if we could all decide that!

Here are some pictures from last week

School pictures

Here are Kegan and Parkers  Fall pictures from school this year.  Parker's are a REALLY big deal because last year she refused to have her picture taken at school.  Both times last year I went out and bought her a cute new dress and made sure her hair was fixed really cute.  When it came time to have her picture taken, she wouldn't do it. She cried so much that they even tried getting Kegan out of class, to see if he could get her to calm down or to take a picture with him.  NOPE, NO luck!  So this year I didn't even bother getting her a new dress and she did great! Yay!  Kegan has been a great picture taker since he was 2 months old! They are growing up way too fast!  I love their sweet faces!
