HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Today we would like to interrupt Kristin's ramblings about her annoyingly cute kids to bring you a special message...Happy Birthday to the best Wife and Mother any guy and two kids could ask for!

Kristin, today we want to raise a glass for all you do for our family...

And help you celebrate this last year before the sun sets on your 20's...

Remember, you're not as young as you used to be.  So don't party too hard...

But enjoy your special day.  We love you!!!

Weekend!

This weekend Mimi and Joe came in town to see Kegan play soccer.  Unfortunately, the soccer game was cancelled due to rain.  We still had lots of fun with Mimi and Joe!

Mimi and Joe had just gotten back from Disney World on Monday.  Mimi brought Parker the best present ever!  The Real Cinderella Dress! With matching gloves and purse!

Potty Princess

I just realized that I have not blogged about Parker being potty trained! She decided she was ready mid-August, right when I was starting back to work for the new school year. Perfect timing!  I really didn't get my hopes up, because as you may remember, Kegan took AN ENTIRE YEAR to be fully potty trained. While he liked the idea of it, when it actually came to going to the bathroom, he preferred his diaper or underwear to the potty. People have always told me, " Girls are easier to potty-train than boys."  I didn't really believe it, but boy were those people RIGHT! Parker was fully potty trained in less than a month!  She still wears pull-ups at bedtime but wears big-girl panties the rest of the day (even to school & at nap time.)  We are so proud of our BIG GIRL!  Below is a picture of her reward for the first time she went poopie on the potty.  She picked out nail polish with glitter in it!

Need a laugh?

If you are in need of a good laugh, go to a 4 year old's soccer game! Today was Kegan's first soccer game and it was one of the funniest things I have seen!  They had only had 2 practices prior to the game.  The first goal was scored by someone on Kegan's Team, but in their OWN GOAL!  There was one kid on the opposing team who flailed his arms wildly the whole time he was running! I can't even count how many times we shouted, "kick the ball the other way!" or "pay attention to the game."  Quite a few times Kegan was seen "cracking jokes" to his teammates and those on the opposing team.  They also don't really get the concept of a TEAM.  They always want to be kicking the ball so if that means kicking away from one of your own teammates, that is just fine with them.  One of the kids on Kegan's team even tackled his teammate so he could have the ball.  I mentioned this in a previous post; his team name is Chaos, and it could not be more fitting!  Needless to say Kegan's team won the game, even though they don't keep score at this young of an age.  The only goal the other team scored was the one that our team scored for them.  The most important this is they all had a BLAST! His next game is Tuesday night!  We can't wait!

Back to school

Today was Kegan and Parker's first day back to school!  Kegan's teacher is Ms. Karima who is known or teaching the children Spanish (can't wait to see how much he learns.) Parker's teacher is Mr. Robby.  There is only one male teacher in the school and Parker got him.  Those of you who know Parker, know that she is afraid of everything under the sun (unlike her big bro who is afraid of nothing!)  So when we told her a week ago that Mr. Robby was going to be her teacher, she was not excited.  She would say, "I not want Mr. Robby."  Then Kegan would give her a million reasons why Mr. Robby is the best.  She would eventually say, "I love Mr. Robby!" Then the next day she would go back to, " I not want Mr. Robby."
Tuesday morning Grams took Kegan and Parker to "Meet the Teacher Day" and Parker wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with Mr. Robby.  So we were worried about how the first day would go.  Kyle and I got lucky and were BOTH able to drop them off the for their first day!  Parker eventually went to Ms. Lisa, who is the assistant in the class, and she was fine (thank God!)  Parker's highlight of the day was playing bubbles outside!  Kegan had a great day and loved everything he did (of course!)

Here are a few pics from the morning!
