Stinkin' Cute

The other day I got Parker dressed and looked at her and said, "You are SO Stinkin' Cute!"  She said, "I not STINKY POOP!"

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Kyle and I went to and Ugly Christmas Sweater Party last night!  We didn't have any ugly Christmas sweaters so this is what we came up with...

Unfortunately, You can't see the silver snowflakes at the bottom of the Christmas Jumper!  No, I didn't have this dress already! (I am a teacher but I don't own this type of stuff!)
Kyle was such a good sport (even though most of the guys there didn't participate in dressing up for the party.)

Santa Pics 2010

For the past 2 years we have been going to a photo studio near our house, to get the kids picture taken with Santa.  It is so nice because you can make an appointment and show up with no lines. Santa already knows the kids names and even who is who.  He is really nice and very real looking.
(unlike this guy from Kegan's first visit, at the mall) Notice how happy Kegan is, even as an 11 month old!

This past Tuesday we went to get Kegan and Parker's pictures taken this year. Kegan has loved Santa EVERY YEAR since his birth. Parker has been terrified of Santa every year since her birth.
Here is a reminder of last year's visit.

Well this year we thought were hoping that it would be a different story. We talked a lot about the visit before we went and Parker started to get really excited.  Tuesday, I got home from work and woke Parker up from her nap.  I asked, Are you ready to go see Santa?"  She replied, "Yep! I'm going to jump up on his lap!"  She continued with her enthusiasm as we got ready, drove to the studio, and walked through the door.  Santa walked up to Kegan and started talking to both kids. Parker bravely (as she was behind Kyle's leg) says, "I'm going to jump up on your lap!"  I was shocked.  Then she QUICKLY changed her mind.  She started crying and said she didn't want to see Santa anymore.  So, I had to be in the picture with her and Kegan (which I was not excited about!) Kegan was of course a pro and LOVED Santa!

Here are the proofs from this year's session.  Notice how Parker pretty much refuses to look at Santa.

Better luck next year! Right?

So Thankful!

I am so thankful for so many things....
My Husband
My Kids
My Family
My Friends
My Pets
My Job
My Health
My Home

Last night, while in Illinois, we went out to dinner with Kyle's dad's side of the family.  We were finishing up our dinner and all of the sudden a man collapsed of a heart attack in the middle of the restaurant.  Kyle's cousin is an EMT and started CPR right away.  The paramedics came immediately and worked on him for what seemed like forever.  We later found out the the man did not make it...and he was only 53 years old.   Thinking about this man and his family makes me even more thankful for my family and our health.  I will continue to pray for this man's family as Thanksgiving will now always be a hard time for them.

Here are some more pictures from our trip to Illinois. I am also thankful for my CAMERA!

Illinois-Day One

We made it! We survived the 12 hour car ride to Aunt SueSue and Uncle Ronnie's house! We left our house at about 7:40am and got there at about 8:10pm.  We stopped 5 times.  1 time for lunch and 4 times for a potty break.  Kegan and Parker watched 5 movies.  I read a book.  Kegan and Parker fell asleep 20 minutes before we reached our destination.  It was a very easy trip (I can say that because I didn't drive.)  NO traffic, No bad weather, Only Minimal crying. Not too bad! I am sure there will be lots of crying on the way home because they are not going to want to leave.

Kegan and Parker had a blast today.  Here some pics I took. (I also had time to edit them! I am so excited because I never have time for that at home!)
