Our Li'l Rockstar is SIX
Last week, we celebrated Kegan's 6th birthday! It is so hard to believe that 6 years has gone by so quickly. He is so grown up and mature (most of the time). He has very intelligent conversations with us! We love our sweet, smart, handsome, funny, silly, caring, lil rockstar more than words can express! We thank God everyday, for blessing us, with him!
Kegan's birthday started off great! His friends down the street had sprinkled Dum Dum lollipops on the porch and put a poster on the door, wishing him a Happy Birthday! It was totaly unexpected...he said it was like a surprise party! Grandma also brought special donuts over for breakfast!
That night we celebrated at home, with Turkey Cheeseburgers and oven baked fries (one of his favorite meals). I think he would have preferred McDonald's, but we went the healthier route. Then we ate cake and opened presents.
.Nana and Bomp sent Kegan a noise card and a gift card. Everyone (especially Parker) thought the talking card was HILARIOUS!! Even after a week and a half she still cracks up when she opens this card.
We had Kegan's Birthday party, with all his friends, at Main Event. The theme was ROCKSTAR! All the kids had a blast bowling!
Group Picture
My best friend, Marci, made it to the party, with her 6 month old twins! They were so good, and every loved holding them, especially Parker!
Mimi and Joe made it in town for his birthday! As always, we enjoyed having them!

Curly Q
Over Christmas Break, Parker was in a phase where she wanted her hair to be curly, like her friend Aubrie. Aubrie has super curly hair...Parker has super straight hair. She talked about it non-stop. Typical girl...."the grass is always greener!" I bought some sponge rollers, and told her that she could sleep in them, so her hair would be curly the next day. First of all, I thought she would not want to sleep in them ( I thought they would bother her.) Nope I was wrong! Then, I thought that she wouldn't like the way the curls turned out! Nope, wrong again! All but two of the roller stayed in while she was sleeping. The next day she way so excited to see her curly hair. She proudly told everyone she saw, about her rollers and her curly hair! That night after her bath, she said, "I miss my curls." I have a feeling we have many nights of sponge rollers in our future! I am not complaining...I LOVE my GIRLY GIRL!
New Years Eve 2011
We love our new neighbor hood! We have fun neighbors and there are LOTS of kids! Of 5 houses on our street, there are a total of 13 kids!! Most are around the same age as Kegan and Parker!! We decided to have a little New Year's Eve block party at our house! It was so much fun!!
Sparklers were so fun! I miss being a kid!
CHEERS!
Everyone was gone by 9:30, but since Kegan and Parker had taken a nap that day, they got to stay up until midnight! Kyle and I were seriously counting down until midnight....so we could go to bed! We were exhausted!

Christmas 2012
This was the first year, since I was pregnant with Kegan, that we didn't travel for Christmas. It was nice to not spend so much time in the car, and have to worry about hiding the kids presents while traveling. Most of our family came to see us, but we really missed our family, in San Antonio, that we usually get to see on the holidays. Since we had Christmas dinner at our house, I made my first turkey EVER. I used Kidd Kraddick's Brown Bag Turkey recipe. It was delicious!! Again, I didn't do a great job of taking pictures this Christmas, but here is what I have!
This is the only picture I got of celebrating Christmas with Grandad and Kirby :(
Kegan get a Nintendo DS from Santa!
Parker got a bike from Santa!
Christmas Morning with Grandmas!

Trying out the new Skateboard and Bike! It was a bit chilly- like 39 degrees...brrr!
Santa should have gotten Daddy a skateboard too....
