Baseball Fall 2012

This Fall, Kegan stayed on the same team he has been with for a long time (the River Dogs)! He started out playing Blastball with them, then Tee Ball, and this season they moved up to Baseball (coaches pitch)! At the end of last season (spring Tee ball) the boys started to shift from little silly boys to really trying hard and taking the sport more seriously (well as serious as a 6 year old boy can be). This Fall, the sport was much more serious, the ball was harder and there was no more tee to rely on if they couldn't hit the ball from the coaches pitch.  Three strikes and you are OUT!They started having 2 to 3 practices a week instead of just one one of the practices was just batting practice. They had set positions each game! It was amazing to see these kids (some of which we have played with since 3 years old) work so hard to get better and become really good little baseball players.
Kegan worked really hard every game and practice. He only struck out 2 or 3 times the entire season. His goal for himself was to catch a pop fly...he didn't quite make that goal but will continue to work at it this spring.

One morning Parker had an 8 am game and Kegan had a 10 am game. We didn't have time to go home in between the two games so we went to Whataburger and got breakfast.  Kegan said look, "it's like a Breakfast Hamburger"....Yeah we don't eat out much!
