Disneyworld 2012

This October we took a family trip to Disney world. It was definitely "MAGICAL"!
We flew Spirit Airlines, with NO issues! You have to pay for every thing but we got there on time and with no cancellations or delays (much better than our flight to and from NY this summer)! When our plane landed in Florida, Parker looked out the window and immediately got upset because "we weren't AT Disney world." I guess she thought that the plane was actually going to land AT Disney world!
Kyle did a great job planning the entire trip by himself. He had a car waiting for us at the airport. The kids thought it was such a neat car!

We checked into the Dolphin Resort. Everyone loved the hotel! With a playground, a sandy beach, several pools, a slide into the pool, paddle boats, & arcade. What's not to love! Kegan also said that Florida had he favorite type of trees....Palm trees (I will agree with that!)

Fountain inside the hotel
The first day we were there we hung out at the pool and went on the water slide over and over again!
On Wednesday morning, we woke up super early to go to Magic Kingdom and have breakfast with the princesses at Cinderella's Castle! Before we went on the trip Parker went shopping for something extra special to wear to the princess breakfast! She decided to go with the Belle dress!

(mommy realized the humidity in Florida was not good for the hair, no matter how much it was straightened)
I think Kegan (really) enjoyed the Princess breakfast even though I don't think he would admit it ;)

Daddy's Little Princess

Since we went to the Princess Breakfast as soon as the park opened, and because it was our very first time at Disney World, we didn't realize how important the Princess signature book was. So we didn't get any of the princess signatures at the breakfast. Parker REALLY wanted to get the book and get the signatures, this meant waiting in (long) lines to get the signatures of the princesses we had already seen. The first character signature we waited for was Alice. Parker thinks her first name is Alice and her last name is Wonderland. As waited for "Alice Wonderland" Parker realized that there is a "scary" bunny rabbit with her. So in true Parker fashion she started to freak out a bit. When it came time to get the signature she asked "Alice Wonderland" if the Rabbit could step aside!

Bunny is Gone....P is good!
Kegan wasn't scared of Mr. Rabbit!

About to ride Space Mountain

Princess Signatures

Parker is scared of Characters...even Mickey Mouse

And scared of Minnie Mouse

Day 2 After starting off with a big breakfast, complete with Mickey mouse waffles, we went to Animal Kingdom

Safari Ride

Mickey ice cream bars
Kegan is such a great big brother. He got Baloo to sign Parker's signature book since she was too scared to do it!

Still scared but Daddy s protecting her!

Day 3 we went back to Magic Kingdom

This picture cracks me up, because Parker is posing with the 3D glasses on but she hated every show or ride that had the 3D aspect.

Day 4 we went to Hollywood Studios this was probably Kegan's most favorite because he is really into Star Wars- they had Jedi Training, Pirates of the Caribbean-they had a museum from the movie and Indiana Jones- they had a show. He loved all of it but the Jedi Training was the highlight of the trip!
More 3D glasses...more posing
Parker was scared of the Mr. Potato Head, but as usual she had Daddy to protect her.
Toy Story Ride
Posing like Indiana Jones

Pirates of the Caribbean museum

Kegan's ticket for the Jedi Training (we had to sign up for it as soon as we got to the park to ensure a spot.)
The guy in the wheelchair was in charge of gathering up the kids and talking to them before the Jedi Training started. He was very entertaining and quizzed them over Star Wars trivia. Parker was scared of him because he didn't have legs ( I am telling you, this girl is scared of EVERYTHING!)

Can you tell that he enjoyed the experience??
A certificate for his completion of the Jedi training and confirms that he is Padawan
At this point we stopped getting the 3D glasses for Parker.
this is HUGE! Parker took a picture with a character without Daddy holding her....progress!

We spent the final day of our trip at Epcot. Parker had a few more princess signatures she need to get before we headed home.

The other day Parker said, "can we go back to Disney world?" I replied, "yes, I am sure we will one day." She said "like on Saturday?" Maybe not that soon!
